Cashews are peculiar in their growth because the seed grows from underneath the fruit. The fruit or cashew apple itself is eaten as well, and the juice is enjoyed and also fermented for an alcoholic drink. They are grown in the tropical regions in the southern hemisphere, and like the other tree nuts they are high in essential minerals and anti-oxidants. Our cashews are available fresh roasted or specially seasoned or candied. Next to peanuts, these are the most popular nut at our shop.
